Our Mission
To bring natural, healthy and sustainable chia products to consumers worldwide with a full commitment to our corporate social and environmental responsibilities.
Since 2005, Benexia has done one thing completely: turn a single ancient seed into the world's most advanced chia ingredients — owning every step from the field to your facility.
Benexia is a Chilean, 100% chia-dedicated ingredients company. Where others source a commodity, we own the chain: a network of family-owned, regeneratively farmed fields across South America; one of the world’s most modern chia processing plants in Arica; and our exclusive MicroTech® milling that turns the whole seed into functional fiber and protein.
That vertical integration lets us deliver stable cold-pressed oil, neutral-tasting flours and full traceability — from a single field to your production line. Led by CEO Sandra Gillot, we have grown from a growers’ cooperative into a supplier of advanced chia ingredients to food, beverage and nutrition brands worldwide.
Today, Benexia accompanies leading brands around the world that are looking for more than ingredients. They seek a trusted innovation partner with the scientific expertise, technical knowledge and commitment needed to shape the future of healthier food.
Our expertise is full vertical integration of a single crop — four controlled steps from regenerative field to finished ingredient, so quality and traceability are ours to guarantee.
Over the past two decades, we have built deep knowledge across agriculture, ingredient functionality, nutrition science and food applications. Our multidisciplinary teams work together to transform scientific knowledge into practical ingredient solutions that help manufacturers overcome formulation challenges and accelerate product innovation.

Great ingredients are designed long before harvest. The way crops are grown directly influences nutritional quality, biodiversity and long-term environmental impact.
That is why sustainability and good agricultural practices have always been an essential part of Benexia’s business model. Through regenerative agriculture, responsible manufacturing and continuous innovation, we work to create ingredients that support healthier food systems while protecting natural resources for future generations.
Chia is identified as a promising alternative crop through the North Western Argentina Regional Project (NWARP), sponsored by the University of Arizona and the Argentinean Government.
Benexia is born from a growers’ cooperative formed by independent growers, experts and scientists — quickly expanding from farming into the commercialization and industrial processing of chia.
